Executive Chef Seasonal

Snowshoe Sam’s Pub & Gunbarrel Grill Restaurant is looking for a talented, hard working, experienced Executive Chef for the upcoming winter season.  Employment will commence September / October on a 7 month contract. This could potentially lead to full time, year round employment.

Applicant must have : Strong leadership qualities. Be an excellent communicator. Passionate about food, and enjoy creating locally sourced and seasonal menus. Have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, and assist in line cooking for the busy restaurant dinner service.

Responsible for overall management of both pub and restaurant kitchens, their food program, staffing, cost control, inventory, and menu design.

As well as maintaining the smooth running of both kitchens, you would also manage areas of profit, stock, wastage control, hygiene practices and training within the kitchen.

Ensure team members understand and maintain operating standards.

Hire, train, motivate, and develop staff to meet and exceed established food preparation standards on a consistent basis.

Display exceptional leadership by providing a positive work environment.

Strong interpersonal skills and problem solving abilities.

Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
