Hello! How are you?

First of all I would just like to humbly thank you for considering this post. It means a lot! Even if this job is not the right fit for you perhaps you know someone who could thrive here and you could direct them here. We would be most grateful.

I believe this job opportunity would be the perfect combo/compliment to a winter job up at Big White Ski Resort in Kelowna B.C

First Off… I want to introduce myself, my name is Brandon and I’m the Owner and Operator of Live Next Level. (LNL for short) One of the coolest things about owning your own business is that you get to choose who you work with and so I’m quite passionate about who we bring onto the team.

Let me tell you a bit about what were looking for and you can be the judge if you think you would fit.

So to start, were looking for someone in the “Technician Role”. This means that you will be going out on a truck and physically cleaning windows, gutters, and houses. The Ideal candidate for this job is someone who likes working outside, likes working with their hands, and would appreciate getting paid for performance (meaning the more windows you clean in a day, the more you make).

The job generally runs monday through friday because we believe rest is a weapon and those weekends are important for recovery and time to get outside and be with family.

Here’s an example of a typical work day:
7:30am – Team meeting on Zoom (We go over the days work, chat about the previous day, enjoy a coffee together, and problem solve any pressing issues)

8am till 4ish – You will work in a team of two and go out and clean windows, gutters, and houses.

We use an online scheduling software so your schedule will be available on an app on your phone. In general you are usually at around 3-5 job locations or houses per day.

Some days go well but others can be tough and you are required to work late to finish the day if need be.

The ideal candidate would need to be good with people as you will be cleaning residential homes and with that comes a level of customer service that is required. Some customers are quite picky, so a good eye for detail helps. You will be going on lots of ladders and roofs (tied off of course) so a fear of heights might be a challenge.

The technician role is also quite physical. It can be long days in the heat, 45 hour work weeks, heavy ladders, 45 foot carbon fiber extension poles, fall protection setup, and some chemical safety. I want to be as transparent as possible with you.

Most importantly though, we are looking for someone who is humble, teachable, and gets along well with others. If you have a passion for learning and personal growth I believe you would thrive here.

LNL values an ownership mentality. We value kindness, empathy, and optimism. Not every day goes smooth so we are looking for someone who looks at things constructively.

I hope you can see that this job is quite different from many on the market. I have invested a lot into learning and education for the service industry and I love to chat strategy with the team. In fact on your very first day we will go through and understand how to read a profit and loss statement. We have an open book management style, we train you to think with the business interest in mind for every decision.

One more thing I should mention… this job typically runs from March through to the start of December (this is why it could compliment winter employment at a ski resort) so there are a couple slow months in the winter. Many of our technicians go on unemployment insurance or part time hours. Some take the winter off to travel or shift to employment up at Big White Ski Resort. We are located in Kelowna BC about 45 minutes from the mountain.

If this job post stands out to you, if you feel like you would be a good fit, or if you feel like you would thrive in this type of environment then read the next part carefully.

In order to pre-qualify you for an interview (To save us a lot of time) I want you to send me an email. The email address is found on our company website, I want you to go on and find it. I also want you to read through our website so you have a general knowledge of what we do.

I want you to title the email “Dream Team” .

In the email I would like for you to talk about why you want to work here, what your expecations would be, and most importantly what you would want to achieve from this job.

I want to get to know you a bit better before we sit down for an interview. Feel free to share your hobbies, strengths, weaknesses, aspirations, goals, dreams.

Happy job hunting my friends 🙂 We look forward to meeting our dream team player.
