Duties and Responsibilities:
- As the Kitchen Assistant/Dishwasher, you will rotate between these 2 positions. The Kitchen Assistant will be responsible for providing the lunches(sandwiches) and apres ski snack for our guests. You will work closely with the Chef and Baker to plan the sandwich options for the week as well as create the menu for the apres ski snacks for the week.
- Responsibilites include, but not limited to; menu planning, making sandwiches, sandwich prep/dinner prep, assist with dinner plating, provide staff meals, dishes, cleaning the kitchen, labeling, dating and keeping the fridge and freezer organized.
- Work flexible shifts with varying hours, working a 10 hour day, split shifts, for 14 days on, and 7 days off in a remote environment. Must be able to work weekends and holidays. This position may require overtime and altered scheduling according to occupancy levels.
- Must be flexible and adaptable under changing conditions, priorities, and unexpected situation.
- Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times, adhering to the needs of guests dietary preferences. Assist guests with all questions and reasonable requests.
- Have good outdoor and indoor footwear, along with clothing required for winter conditions.
- Maintain a clean and tidy appearance and work area.
Knowledge/Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a professional kitchen.
- Must have Food Safe Certification.
- Must be a team player, yet able to work independently.
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
