Duties and Responsibilities:
• As the Baker at Chatter Creek you will be required to bake fresh bread daily for breakfast, lunches and dinner. You will need to create and prepare a nightly dessert and prepare baked goods daily to go out with breakfast, lunches and as snacks. You will work closely with the Chef to meet the needs of their menu.
•Responsibilities also include, but not limited to; assisting the Chef with plating breakfast and dinners, keeping the baking section and the kitchen, including fridges and freezers, labelled, organized and clean, and helping do dishes.
• Must be mature and able to work as part of an interdisciplinary team that as a whole presents an amazing getaway experience for our clients.
•Ensure a high level of customer service is maintained at all times, assisting guests with all questions and reasonable requests and adhering to the needs of their dietary preferences.
•Have good outdoor and indoor footwear, along with clothing required for winter conditions.
•Maintain a clean and tidy appearance and work area.
•Be available to work 10 hour days, split shifts, for 14 days on, and 7 days off in a remote environment, working weekends and holidays. This position may require overtime and altered scheduling according to occupancy levels.
• Must be flexible and adaptable under changing conditions, priorities, and unexpected situations
Knowledge/ Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years previous baking/pastry experience in a professional kitchen setting.
- Food Safe Certification required.
- Education background in Pastry Arts considered an asset.
- Team Player, yet able to work independently
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
