Bow Valley Park Campgrounds operates numerous provincial campgrounds, private group camps, two camper stores and multiple day use areas. Our areas of operation range from the town of Canmore, Bow Valley Provincial Park, Sibbald Lake Recreation Area and Kananaskis Country.
We are seeking energetic, qualified and responsible summer staff! This position is ideal for someone looking to enjoy the outdoors by utilizing the amazing mountainous landscape we have surrounding us. We are located in a strategic location with countless recreation opportunities within a short drive to have the best summer! Successful candidates will work in our campground store located in Bow Valley Provincial Park 6kms from the provided staff accommodations. Staff would be responsible for retail sale of grocery items and camping/household supplies, campground registrations, rule & regulation education, answering phone inquiries, providing visitors with information about the park, stocking shelves, cash handling, store opening and closing, cleaning, and other duties as assigned.
We are looking for personable, self-starting and adaptable individuals for the retail clerk positions. Retail staff work alone or as a pair so applicants must be able to work well in both scenarios, productively and efficiently. Previous retail or customer service experience would be an asset. Successful applicants will strike that balance between professional and personable as many of our guests stay for multiple days, creating an opportunity to build rapport and make our guests feel welcomed. Staff live and work together so an easy-going nature and ability to work well with others goes a long way.
