Now hiring for Chalet Hosts to work in our luxury chalets, alongside our in-house chalet team (private chef, housekeeping) to assist in creating memorable holiday experiences for our VIP guests.
Ideal candidates will have fine dining and hospitality experience. Must be polished, professional, punctual, completely customer-focused and able to work alongside other team members with great communication and a positive attitude.
The host will work in the chalet with the guests to assist the chef for breakfast and dinner service, as well as general house management and organization of guests and household.
Duties include:
-Welcoming guests and providing an orientation on arrival
-Executing guest requests such as unpacking/packing of luggage (if requested)
-Assisting with set up, service and clearing of breakfast and dinner
-Service communal and bathroom areas daily. Ensuring spaces are clean and tidy, informing cleaner and of any damages or spot clean necessary
-Any noticed damages reported to the Sales Manager to ensure noted for damage deposit return and fix
-Clear snow from paths and footways, windows and escape routes
-Ensure that the appropriate clean uniform is worn at all times
-Ensuring you are always achieving guest satisfaction for “First Impressions”, cleanliness, food and comfort
-Coordinating client requests such as additional grocery, alcohol and miscellaneous items with the Sales Manager
-Guest turn-down service
-Communicating any necessary maintenance required or Gym, Hot Tub, Gym, Lights working etc.
The chalet host must have own accommodation and reliable transportation in Whistler.
We will provide training on the specific home and duties (paid orientation), as well as uniform to be worn in the chalet.
Hours are for 10-12 hours per day and will vary per client. Generally starting around 7am – 12pm / 3pm- 8pm to assist with breakfast and aprés/dinner service and turndown.
Rates will be $250 – $300 per day on a contract basis + gratuity from guest (varies).
Contracts will be predominantly during the peak summer and festive season and throughout the winter ski season for 5-7 day+ contracts.
