Woolsey Creek Bistro
Position : Sous Chef (Full time, Permanent)
Start Date: November 11th 2021
Woolsey Creek Bistro is a casual fine dining restaurant in Revelstoke, BC. With a focus on fresh, local, and high quality ingredients, we strive to provide our guests a unique and memorable dining experience. We are currently looking for culinary staff as we head into the winter season. We are open evenings, with most shifts being 2pm-10pm. This provides you lots of time to enjoy Revelstoke and all it has to offer this winter. Below is a summary of the job description.
-Assisting chef with day to day operations.
-Monitor and record inventory, relaying items needing to be replenished to chef.
-Provide support to junior kitchen employees with various tasks including food preparation, line cooking, and dish plating.
-Cooking meals based on established recipes and customer requests.
-Daily preparation of meats, seafood, fruits/vegetables, and game.
-Using knives and a variety of kitchen equipment to process food for service.
-Maintaining a high standard of sanitation and cleanliness.
-Assisting with cleaning tasks.
-Setting up, and closing down daily food service.
-Adhere to food safety standards.
-Working in a fast paced environment under time limitations.
Job Requirements
-2 years experience in a similar role.
-Strong knowledge of cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and culinary practices.
-Individual must be teamwork-orientated.
-Valid food safe certificate
-Ability to communicate clearly with managers and kitchen/dining room employees.
-Strong ability to multi-task.
