At GP Cannabis Store we are looking for a great person to join our team of “budtenders”.
The perfect candidate:
-Knowledge about cannabis products and accessories
-Friendly, outgoing and confident personality with excellent customer service skills
-Able to work under pressure and high paced environment
-Knowledge of Point of Sale system
-Availability to work a flexible schedule
Duties and Responsibilities:
-Greet and assist customers as they shop
-Verify customers age by checking their ID’s
-Provide recommendations to customers about cannabis products or accessories
-Handle transactions at the cash register
-Perform accurate cash outs at the end of the shifts
-Record and report any suspicious activities in a logbook
-Keep the store perfectly clean
-Receive and count inventory
-Keep stock organized
Education and Experience:
-High School Diploma
-2+ years of experience in sales
Government Requirements:
-Obtain Security Verification from the province at https://justice.gov.bc.ca/cannabislicensing/policy-document/worker-qualification-training.
-The application charge is $100 and it will be reimbursed after 6 month of working at the store. (No reimbursement if you work less then 6 month)
-Complete government’s LCRB Employee Training Program once it becomes available
(the LCRB program is under development and each sales person will be required to complete the program in order to continue working in cannabis stores)
